Joan Cassavar Obituary
Joan Cassavar, age 76, of West River Road in Bowling Green, Ohio passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. Born July 2, 1941, she was one of three children born to Robert and Ruth Stearns of Toledo, Ohio. Joan was a graduate of Central Catholic High.
God gave Joan the great love of her life, Dave Cassavar, when she was a teenager, and they spent the next 59 years together. They were blessed with three sons, David, Dan and Doug.
Joan worked many years with her brother, Dr. Robert Stearns, at his dental practice in Rossford and was loved by all of the patients who met her there.
She loved the Lord. She loved life. And she loved the joy of giving. She took great pride in the talents and accomplishments of her family.
Joan is survived by her husband, Dave; her son, Dr. Dan Cassavar and his wife, Chris; her son, Doug Cassavar and his wife, Tina; and her sister, Linda (Stearns) Pezzin. She has five cherished grandchildren; two precious great-granddaughters; and many treasured nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may share in the celebration of Joan's life on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at 11 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church, 628 Lime City Rd., Rossford, Ohio 43460 where the family will greet guests beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contribution be directed to Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Sujkowski Funeral Home of Rossford.

To family of Joan,I am so sorry to learn of Joan's dying. I was a lifelong friend of the Stearns', especially Bob who I went to grade school and high school with . Our sincere condolences to her family who Joan dedicated her life to . I am sure she will be dearly missed by all. Rest In peace Joan.
