JoAnn STAHL Obituary

STAHL JoAnn "Babe" JoAnn "Babe" Stahl, age 70, of Rossford, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2011, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. She was born on May 22, 1941, in Rossford to Joseph and Ann (Bobak) Duly. JoAnn was a 1959 graduate of Rossford High School and a lifelong resident of Rossford. She was employed at the former Medical College of Ohio and was a member of All Saints Catholic Church. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed traveling, shopping and most of all spending time with family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be deeply missed. Surviving is her loving husband of 51 years, James Stahl; children, Lori Spohn, Joe (Stepanie) Stahl, Pattie (Norb) Heban and Mike (Nancy) Stahl; grand children, Kelley and Kenneth Spohn, Kara and Abby Stahl, Christie, Courtney and Greg Heban, Jonathan and Ian Stahl; great-granddaughter, Hannah Young. Also surviving is her sister, Diane (William) Leyland and nieces, Terri Retzloff and Debbie Snodgrass. JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Tim Stahl. Family and friends may visit at the Sujkowski Funeral Home of Rossford, 830 Lime City Rd., on Friday from 4 to 8 PM. Visitation will continue on Saturday at All Saints Catholic Church beginning at 9 AM in the church narthex until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10 AM with Rev. Kent Kaufman officiating. Interment will be private. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution in JoAnn's memory are asked to please consider Hospice of Northwest Ohio or the American Cancer Society. Dear Jim:

I was saddened to hear of Joann's death. Your wife had a significant impact on my life. For the first 11 years of my life, we lived next door to you on Lime City Road. Your son Tim was one of my best childhood friends.

I have many fond memories of you and Joann . . . the neighborhood parties we used to have; you and Joann making an ice rink in your back yard and teaching me how to play hockey; going to get ice cream with Joann, you, and all the kids; going ice skating with your family at the Sports Arena on Main Street; going to hockey games with you guys . . . many good memories.

Joann was always so kind to me - so encouraging, so positive. I will never forget the positive impact that he had on my life. Thank you for sharing her with the kids in the neighborhood! She was quite a lady!

I will be praying for you and your children.
