Our condolences to John and Janel and your family. I never met your father, always heard such flattering things said about him through the years from friends living in Michigan and people who knew him. I remember seeing all you eating supper together one evening back in the 80's at "Someplace Else", a popular Holland-Sylvania Avenue restaurant. I did want to add this to you, John, that Russ Bierley's widow Kay, originally from Deerfield, Michigan and a former Summerfield High School home economics teacher, lives in nearby Phoenix and we plan to call her and get together. Jan and I have never met Kay, received her address and phone number from a mutal Toledo friend. I mention this, John, because I remember you told me you played basketball for Russ. Again, our condolences are extended to the Beck family. Please feel free to contact me at the e-mail listed below.
