You were one of the most genuinely gracious and friendly people I have ever known and I am so glad we were a part of your family through our daughter Amy for the many years she was married to Scott. Family was highest on your list of priorities and I always felt like Joan and I were on that list whenever we came to visit Scott and Amy. You were so faithful to her and indeed, you will be blessed in heaven a hundredfold for the blessing you were to her here on earth. I always enjoyed visiting with you, going out to eat with you, and worshiping with you. May God watch over your family while you are gone and bless their memory of you. I will see you in heaven, John. Tell Jesus I am coming too - but then, he knows that because he promised eternal life to all who believe in his Name. We'll sit down and eat and talk again, and even one day play with our grandchildren again because of the witness for Christ we have tried to be.
Love,
Tim and Joan Glover

Dear John "Dad": I will never forget you and how much you used to make me laugh! :) You were always there for me no matter what. You knew what was important (family) and never turned anyone away. I will really miss talking with you on the phone. Dylan and Mia are really going to miss their Grandpa too. Especially Mia - she loved singing and talking to you so much. So glad they got to know such a wonderful person.
I am saddened that I didn't get to say goodbye to you. But I am also comforted in knowing that I got to see you love and serve the Lord - I know you are in heaven with Him now.
Love always,
Amy Glover (Dylan & Mia Castilleja)

To the family of one of the finest men we've known...

What a loss for those of us on earth, but, what a gain for those in Heaven for God now has one of the best Angel's you could imagine at his side.

Fred grew up with the Castilleja family and always had nice things to say about and pleasant memories of Johnny.

I met Johnny in 1990 and he was one of the nicest people I had ever met. He listened, he cared and he offered advice.

May God guide you through this most difficult time as you grieve the loss of your loved one.

My prayers are with everyone who knew and loved John. My husband, Edward Zunk, Jr., graduated with John and was a good friend of his. When John lived in Clay Center he was my parents neighbor. John will be remembered by his smile. May God Bless each and everyone of you. Have the Lord be with you always. I lost Edward in January after a long battle with cancer and I know the hurt and pain of the loss. May the Lord be with you in the following days, months and years.
