He could always make us laugh. We'll miss throwing the paper at him. I'm not sure if we were trying to hit him or play catch. Bless all of you.

Dear Paula, Marilyn, Suzanne and Nancy,
I am so sorry to learn of John's passing. Please accept my deepest sympathies.
I was in Perrysburg in July and I didn't see John. Everytime I visited Perrysburg since moving to Florida in 1987 I would always run into John uptown. I remember 1 particular visit in which I was parallel parking on second street and he was sitting on the bench in front of the house. I got out of the car and walked towards him and he said "I have never seen anybody parallel park so perfectly before, especially by a girl" I laughed and said to him "would you expect anything less of a Gallagher girl" then he recognized me. We sat on the bench there a chatted for awhile. I remember when he went to New Orleans in the early 1970's with my brother John Gallagher and Larry ..., they invaded my sister Jane's home in Slidell and worked on the tugboats. They eventually found an apartment and somehow ended up with the living room furniture from our house in Perrysburg. There are so many memories, I grew up with John, he was always at our house and he and my brother Johnny were always doing something. Mom was always feeding him too, just like all the other boys that hung out at the house.
John will be dearly missed.
