John was a good friend I enjoyed talking with him at the Toledo Club and our Friday afternoons together

Jeanne and family,
I am proud to say I have known John Hilton for many years. I have known him through his technical community activities and as a squash buddy at the Toledo Club. He will be missed. I regret that my Missouri work keeps me mostly out of town and prevents delivering this message in person. I hope you may find a tiny bit of solace knowing that John was a very much appreciated colleague and a true professional that never quit giving.

To be Honest...My Grandfather is the best "Role Model" I have ever had the great honor of sharing my early life with...to say that he will be missed would be an understatement of the greatest proportions...I love you grandpa...

To the Hilton Family:
I have known John for many years. He was a true gentleman. I loved hearing all of his war stories from the days when he worked at H.H. Robertson Company. He was always so helpful in preparing estimates for roofing and/or siding for my projects. I will miss him greatly. My condolences to his family.

Jeanne,
I evidently forgot to sign my note.
It ends with something like "He will be with me always"

Jeanne and Family,
We in the construction community have lost a good friend with John's passing. His knowledge of the community of Toledo contractors, suppliers, and architects was impressive and helpful to all. His good sense of humor smoothed out any number of situations which, in other hands, might have been sad for everyone. He was helpful to us all in many ways and many times.
John's deep affection for his family was always evident, and was inspiring to me.
He will be with me always.

Jeanne and Family,
I am sorry to hear of John's passing. I have know John for so many years and all were fun and enjoyable. Back in the days of Producer's Council and then the forming of the Construction Specifications Institute Chapter, John was always there to help and do what ever was necessary to make us all look good. It was always great to see John at those meetings. I am blessed by having known him and working with him all of those years.
We will keep you in our prayers.
