John Ignat Obituary
John A. Ignat, of Toledo Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, November 6th. He was born on August 11, 1945, in Toledo Ohio. A memorial celebration of life will take place on Saturday, November 23rd, 2024, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., at 25450 Fostoria Road, Genoa, Ohio 43430 (in the barn).
After graduation from Ohio State University, John served in the Army for three years, including one year in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Captain. He returned to Toledo to hold various jobs over the years, including executive recruiter. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and raising dogs. His most favorite memories were spending time with his father, camping and fishing on Drummond Island in Michigan as a child.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann (Gray), of 56 years; daughter, Bonnie Jean (Jason); son, Robert George (Angela); grandchildren, Sonia (Grant), Kaitlin (Dawson), Emilio (Danielle), Miranda; great-grandson, Oliver; sister, Bonita Krochmalny; with special nephew, Matt; and special niece, Amy.

I did not know John well, but would share time with family and John, through his sister Bonnie. There were happy times when gathering at Bonnie's around holidays, and enjoyed time spent with John and his family. Sincere condolences to John's wife, Mary Ann and family, during this difficult time. I pray they will be comforted by GOD, and Angels , for comfort, strength, and healing. May John REST in Peace.
