John Wodarski Obituary
John Floyd Wodarski Sr., 84, of Sylvania, OH passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at ProMedica Flower Hospital. He was born on May 15, 1937 in Toledo, OH to Sigmund "Frank" and Sophie (Banasiak) Wodarski. John attended DeVilbiss High School and was a Veteran of the US Air Force. A member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union Local 33, he worked for Frische-Mullin Inc. in Toledo. John was a talented woodworker and "Jack of all trades". He loved hunting with his sons, brother and nephews. He was also a history buff, and a big fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes. He was a former member of Marygrove Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
John is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Joan (Lotozynski) Wodarski (married April 7, 1962); daughter, Suzanne Wodarski; sons, John F. (Shawna) Wodarski, Jr. and Charles Kendall; grandchildren, John (Kelsey) Wodarski III and Kyrsten Wodarski (David Brown, fiancé); great-grandson, Benjamin Charles Wodarski; sister, Mary Rowe; brother, James Wodarski; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Sr. Mary Luke OSF and Dorothy Wawrzyniak; and brothers, Ronald, Donald, Eugene, and Frank Wodarski.
Services will be private. Interment will be in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 419-476-9176. Memorial donations may be given to the Wounded Warrior Project, woundedwarriorproject.org. Condolences may be shared at
