Jozsef "Joseph"
Joseph Homolya, age 89, of Perrysburg, Ohio, died Sunday, November 11, 2012, at home under hospice care. He was born in Hungary on June 20, 1923, to Imre and Teresa Homolya. He was a hard worker and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Joseph enjoyed spending time outside in nature. He had a love for animals, soccer, traveling and photography.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Maria Homolya; son, Robert (Barbara) Homolya; grandsons, Scott and Stephen Homolya; special friend, Dorothy Boyd. He is survived by his daughter, Erika (Doug) Retzke; grandchildren, Sheila (Mark) Homolya-England and Jason (Jessica) Retzke, and great-grandchildren, Campbell Retzke and soon to be Cole Jozsef Retzke.
Arrangements were made by Witzler-Shank Funeral Home (419-874-3133) 222 East South Boundary, Perrysburg, OH 43551. Memorial contributions may be made to Odyssey Hospice, 1745 Indian Wood Circle, Maumee, OH. 43537. We would like to thank Odyssey Hospice for their compassionate care.
