Judith Callaghan Obituary

CALLAGHAN

Judith Lynn "Judy" (Tifft)

Judy (Tifft) Callaghan passed away on May 21, 2015, at the U of M Hospital, Ann Arbor, after a six-month battle with leukemia. Judy was a lifelong Toledoan and attended Blessed Sacrament grade school and Notre Dame Academy. She was proud of her employment over decades of solid work. It's not length of life, but depth of life, that was Jude. She met her husband 32 years ago. Through the years they shared much love, many laughs and many more miles in their old Ford trucks.

Surviving are husband, T.J. Callaghan; parents, Elmer and Joan (Suter) Tifft; siblings, Susie, Sharon (Jeff Fellman), Tom (Cathy), and Jayne (Dan Apa); sister-in-law, Brenda Tifft; nieces and nephews, Sarah (James Culver), Emily (Cliff Hallman), Elizabeth, Amanda, Megan, and Jamie Tifft; Lucas, Melanie, Zachary (Abi), Laura (Joe Salazar), and Eli Fellman; Gabrielle, Ryan, Julia, and Danielle Apa, and great-nephews and niece, Titus and Amelia Culver, and Carlin Hallman. Preceded in death by brother, John, and nephew, Adam Tifft.

Special thank you to all of her caretakers, nurses, and doctors at the U of M for the great care provided to her and her family.

There will be a gathering to share dinner and a celebration of her life on Friday, May 29, 2-8 p.m., at the Trilby Park Shelter House, 3125 Shawnee Road, Toledo, Ohio.
