Julie Tillman Obituary
Julie A. Tillman passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family July 15, 2024 after a brief illness. She was born to John and Mary Jo Tillman February 12, 1960. Julie graduated from Maumee High School in 1978, and went on to graduate from Owens Community College. After graduation, she worked as a legal secretary for Eastman & Smith Ltd. from 1980 until her retirement in 2021. She was a member of St Patrick of Heatherdowns Catholic Church. She was fond of family vacations in the Irish Hills, Michigan.
Surviving Julie are her siblings, Diane (John) Whelton, John (Brenda) Tillman, Sue (Jeff) Klein, Caroline (Scott) Hofmann and Gretchen (Ardy) Holloway. She had no children but took care of her many nieces and nephews. Julie is also survived by her Godchildren Chelsea (Kelsey) Steude, Jack (Katie) Whelton; nieces and nephews Hannah (Danny) Desio, Alex (Bri) Whelton, Adam (Jennifer) Whelton, Ronnie (Stephanie) Bishop, Ben Tillman, Zachary (Chelsea) Kulwicki, Caitlin (Garrett) Breda, Lauren (Matt) Sullivan, Ashley (Jay) Buchanan, Julianna (Thomas) Castelluccio, Sebastian Hofmann, Tobias Hofmann, Isabella Hofmann, Claire Hofmann, Aaron Holloway and Allison Holloway. She was preceded in death by her loving parents John and Mary Jo Tillman.
Family and friends will be received Sunday July 21, 2024 from 1:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. at Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd, Toledo, OH 43614. A funeral Mass will be celebrated July 22, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at St Patrick of Heatherdowns Church, 4201 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo, Ohio 43614. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, 2224 Dorr St, Toledo Ohio 43607.
The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice and all those who cared for her during her illness.

I worked with Julie for approximately 25 years at Eastman & Smith. Julie was a kind, giving and intelligent person. She obviously loved her family very much. Her faith in Jesus Christ was clear to everyone based on how she treated others. I'm blessed and thankful to have known Julie, even though I have not seen her in some years. A life well lived by one of God's good and faithful servants. Heaven welcomed her with open arms.
