Dearest Julie . . . May God rest your beautiful, gentle, pure, kind, loving, giving soul . . . rest in peace, my dear friend; I have comfort knowing you were greeted not only by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, but I know Aunt Maria greeted you, too . . . I am grateful for our friendship / bond we shared . . . banded together as family through our common love for our dear Aunt Maria . . . I knew something was wrong when your Christmas card came back, and when I didn't get one from you . . . I have EVERY card and beautiful poem you sent to me over the 25+ years . . . I will cherish them forever . . . I know you're singing in Heaven, rejoicing in the promises of our good and kind and merciful loving Lord . . . you are in Heaven, no place more beautiful, and you are surrounded by love . . . I will always think of you with love and great warmth and gratitude for being a part of your loving world . . . you are love . . . God bless you, my dear friend, and all whose hearts are heavy for your sudden, untimely passing . . . we will always love and miss you . . . until we see each other again . . . xoxo . . .

I met Julie on a cruise. What a fun time we had! She was a very kind person. Always smiling. God Bless

My God rest Julie's soul in heaven. Julie was a beloved and dear friend of many years and a women of deep religious faith. Today God has chosen a new Angel in heaven and you will be deeply missed.

A beautiful friend who always kept a smile on her face..Milton L. Olive 7th grade wing was the hall to walk down if you needed a pick me up. Julie would put that smile on your face and never judge you. We started in the district together and left together. We laughed, joked and even stayed sick together!!. Yes we played tag in that hallway with keeping colds. Most of all god called home an angel a beautiful angel. He was impressed with what a wonderful job she did here with our youth and needed her with her wings to continue there. Julie will missed!!!. I know she will continue to keep her arms around me, pray with me, laugh with me, correct work (that's the English teacher in her), and walk with me in the right path. Love you Julie

Julie was very friendly and kind. She was a great neighbor always celebrating every holiday with justo and panache. Julie was a delight to see on her bike wheeling in the village full of energy. Will miss seeing and talking to her.

I will miss my neighbor and friend Julie. She was very special to me. Her kind and loving ways will always be cherished in my heart.

I met Julie in 1980 when we were both students working at a Pizzaria
in Tacoma,WA. We became fast and steady friends for 35 years. It was such a blessing for my husband and I to stay with her in April and to meet her closest friends. God truly has a devoted angel in Julie and we will miss her deeply.

God needed a teacher and call you to help him with the Angels above. RIP

You were my 7th grade English teacher. My love of words began right in your classroom. Throughout the years I would run into you just about everywhere I went. My son also have you as his 7th grade teacher. Ms.Casteel, you were one of the teachers that cared and loved your students; you will be sorely missed. Rest on My Dear Teacher! An angel has received her wings!

We all go through life meeting many people in our path. Some we forget, some we see daily, while others we see less often, however, they all have a profound effect on us.
Julie was one of them. You couldn't miss her glow when she spoke about her faith and love for Jesus. She was well-read and could quote many scriptures from the Bible. I, personally found those conversations with her very enlightening. She proved time and time again to keep one's faith and to pray daily. She was a great role model to all and taught us many of life's lessons. Julie will be very much missed, yet, in her honor, I, too will continue to spread the Word, and in the end, we will all meet up again in heaven.

There are no words to describe the emptiness I am feeling; we are all feeling. This was a person that no one could speak ill of. She loved our children and "Auntie Julie" spoiled them rotten! They loved her unconditionally. She will be missed but never forgotten; forever in our hearts! We love you.
My life will never be the same, I lost "my twin" My best friend and partner in "crime"! Forever in my heart!
