Karen Evans Obituary

Karen Evans

September 22, 1946 - July 26, 2025

Karen S. Evans, age 78, of Oak Harbor, Ohio, left us all on Saturday, July 26, 2025. Karen was born on September 22, 1946, in Toledo, OH, to Robert and Ruth (Martin) Keedy.

Karen graduated from Rogers High School in 1964. In June 1971, Karen married the love of her life, Charles ("Evan," as she fondly called him). Together they had a son, Mac. She worked for Waterville Family Physicians for over 25 years.

Karen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, daughter, cousin, and friend. There are not enough words to sum up just how wonderful she was. The bond and love she had with her sisters and her brother, Sharon ("Pudgie"), Sally ("Bimmy") and Robert ("Brother"), was remarkable. She was a kind and generous person, who loved her family and friends with all her heart. Karen was very stylish, creative, and artistic and over the years enjoyed painting, creating artwork and making jewelry. But most of all she loved spending time with her family and close friends. Karen was funny with a sharp sense of humor. She had a quick wit and did not hesitate to speak her mind and tell it like it was, which often left her family and friends laughing hysterically. She was truly a one-of-a-kind person who was admired and treasured by all who knew her. It was a privilege to have known her and been loved by her. To our dear Karen, we love you more!

Karen is survived by her loving son, Charles Mac Donald Evans; special nieces and nephew, Kelly (Keith) Backus, Bobby (Shelly) Stout and Robyn (Ryan) Sautter, whom she loved as her own children; her dear sister, Sally Moffo; her grandson, Charles Alexander Evans; and many nieces and nephews whom she greatly loved; special cousins, Linda Kitchen, and Nancy and Terry Martin; and her dear sweet family friends, Greg and Tracey Miller, whom she loved as family.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Keedy; mother, Ruth Keedy; sister, Sharon Stout; brother, Robert S. Keedy; and her husband, Charles Evans. She has graciously donated her body to the UT Medical Center in the hope that she will be able to improve the quality of life for others. Donations can be made in her honor to the Ottawa County Humane Society, 2424 E. Sand Road, Port Clinton, Ohio 43452; and Cherry Street Mission, 1501 Monroe Street, Toledo, OH 43604.

One of the most beautiful souls and giving hearts I have ever met. She treated everyone like family and there wasn´t anything she wouldn´t do for you if we´re in her power. It´s been too many years without keeping in touch. I am forever grateful for her kindness and loving gestures.

Karen and I worked together at Kenney Mfg. many years ago. I knew her family and was invited to many of their get togethers. I was in her wedding and she in mine. Over the years we lost contact but I´ve always remembered Karen fondly. My deepest condolences to her family.

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always. I cherish the times and convos we shared, and everything you ever gave me from the heart. The only saving grace to this is no more pain or suffering, and you, Uncle Butch, Grams, Uncle Bob, Boompa, Nene, and more, are together again. I hope there is a big casino and endless shopping up there!
