Katherine Wenger Obituary

WENGER

Katherine "Katie"

Katherine Marie "Katie" Wenger, 34, of Toledo, passed away unexpectedly on June 21, 2015. She was born on March 29, 1981, and graduated from Whitmer High School. She attended Lourdes College and Toledo Academy of Beauty School. She held many jobs throughout the years, but perhaps her greatest passion was caring for and teaching children. Her days spent at Toledo Day Nursery and Englewood Peace Academy were some of the happiest of her life.

She is survived by her loving parents, Edward and Judy Wenger; brothers, Edward and Jeffrey and sister, Elizabeth; grandfather, Howard Wenger and countless aunts, uncles and cousins who will all miss the presence of her indomitable spirit. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Owen and Doris Weiser and Margaret Wenger; uncle, Kevin Wenger, and most recently by one of her favorite uncles, Larry Murnen.

Although her life's journey was not easy, she persevered through many health problems to finally succeed in finding the love and happiness that she so yearned for and so deserved. A special thanks to Eric Huebner for allowing Katie's dreams to come true.

Visitation is Sunday, June 28, from 2-7 p.m. at Ansberg West Funeral Home, 3000 Sylvania Avenue. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, June 29, at 10 a.m. at The Historic Church of St. Patrick, 130 Avondale. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Glenbeigh:

Dear Ed and Judy, Joe and I are so sorry for your loss. I would see Katie when she worked at the Toledo Clinic. She was a very sweet person. I know when she was a little girl,my parents enjoyed it when you would bring her across the street to visit. Your family is in our prayers. Respectfully, Joe and Cathy Russo
