Kevin Rubin Obituary

Kevin R. Rubin

Kevin R. Rubin (April 4, 1968 - July 3, 2025) was a superhero to many; above all, he was a family man. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Connie (née Burnside); their beloved children, Benjamin and Elora Rubin; and future son-in-law, Sam Rogers. Kevin's spirit shines on in his grandson, Leonidas Michael Rubin.

He is also survived by his father, Arnie Rubin; stepmother, Lynn Rubin (née Geronemus); little sister, Sarah York Rubin; and brother-in-law, Eric Meyer. Kevin was preceded in death by his loving mother, Kathi Rubin (née York). During his childhood, the two traveled the world together– living in Guam, Hong Kong, France, and Hawaii.

Kevin attended Michigan State University and was a Spartan to his core. In addition to meeting his wife at MSU, Kevin forged a lifelong brotherhood with the H.O.B.

Kevin built an extraordinary career, establishing several home improvement businesses dedicated to helping people age with independence, safety, and dignity. He also channeled his creativity into writing, publishing the novel "Cult of the Vampyr."

Kevin's legacy will remind us to always appreciate the magic of everyday life.

This breaks my heart. I was just talking about Kevin last week and the nickname 'Dangerous' that he bestowed upon me as a kid. I remember coming over to the house for pool parties and getting pulled over for speeding while us kids were crammed into the backseat of his Mustang between the practice facility and the outdoor field down the road. Then working with him the past number of years on print projects. I can still hear him call me "Bry" through the phone.. probably one of the few to ever do so. Very sad to hear this news. Connie, Ben & Alora - Kevin was a great guy and will be missed by many.
