Larry "Goose" Warnimont

Larry A. Warnimont one of six children born to Bernard and Ann (Senosky) Warnimont completed his journey to his heavenly home on July 22, 2022, with the support of his wife of 58 years, Carol "Kelly" (Siferd) Warnimont, by his side. Their journey began June 20, 1964.

A true humanitarian and patriot, Larry's compassion and drive came from the heart. He was a proud member of the neighborhood block watch and his project of cleaning up trash from the neighborhoods and organizing volunteers to help bring pride back to Toledo one neighborhood at a time.

Larry enjoyed being connected with his family, friends, and anyone to cross his path. He was quick with a joke or two. He was also a generous soul giving with both hands to anyone in need. Gardening was his hobby, which was also his first job in 1958 at Richards Florist in Perrysburg before serving proudly in the U.S. Army and stationed in Germany. Larry used his mechanical skills working at D & R Garage in Perrysburg before he worked as the facilities manager for Toledo Trust Bank. He then worked with Reeder Mechanical performing maintenance for various businesses. Larry also drove truck for Falcon and was a trainer and safety facilitator before retiring.

He was a long-standing member of the N.T.A.C., and Christ Dunberger American Legion Post 537 in Oregon, OH serving on the color guard for fallen members, veteran ceremonies, football games, and school events.

Surviving Larry are his wife, Carol "Kelly"; children, Shelley (Chuck) Blesch, Sherry (David) Hyde, Kevin (Dana) Warnimont, and Keith (Tracy) Warnimont; 18 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and counting. He was preceded in death by his parents; in-laws; granddaughter, Matasha Smith; nephews, David Lee Warnimont, Terry Jaworski, and Robert Holcomb; brothers, David and Barney Warnimont; and his recently departed Brutus.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Road in Oregon on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, from 4:00-9:00 p.m. where legion services will take place at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Christ Dunberger American Legion Post 537 in Oregon, OH. A special thanks to Ohio Living Hospice for the amazing care during this time of need for Larry.
