Lee Ann Obst
Lee Ann Obst, born February 21, 1943, in Fayette, Ohio, passed away surrounded by her loving family on February 28, 2025, at the age of 82. In her childhood, she moved to Toledo, Ohio, and graduated Whitney Vocational High School in 1961. While working at Lamson's Department Store, she met her husband, Al Obst, with whom she celebrated 63 years of marriage.
Lee Ann's career started in 1976 at DeVilbiss Federal Credit Union where she quickly rose to the leadership role and managed the Credit Union. Throughout her years in finance, she successfully navigated many Credit Union mergers until her final position at Sun Federal Credit Union where she retired in 2000. She was well respected and sought out by many she worked with for her experience and expertise in the area of finance. She was a leader and developed many close friendships throughout her career.
Lee Ann's true passion was taking care of her family. She was a devoted wife, mom, grandma, and great-grandma and centered her life around these roles. Throughout her life, Lee Ann always put the needs of others before her own. She enjoyed many hobbies including cooking, crafts, and especially decorating for the Christmas season.
As her Christian faith guided her, she had a close relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Lee Ann is an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her loving husband, Al Obst; son, Mark Obst (Par); daughter, Rená Lucier; grandsons, Andrew and Jay; great-grandchildren, Addy, Harleigh and Myles; as well as her extended family.
Her gentle, kind, loving spirit, sense of humor and warm hugs will be missed by many.
Funeral services for Lee Ann will be Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 4560 Glendale Avenue, Toledo, Ohio 43614. Visitation will begin at the church at 12:00 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. After the service concludes, Lee Ann will be laid to rest at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
