Steve Fisher 75, of Oak Harbor, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at home. He was born November 12, 1948, in Springfield, Ohio, to Lloyd and Naomi (Crabtree) Fisher. Steve graduated from Whitmer High School, Class of 1967, Toledo, Ohio.

He is survived by siblings, Sondra Butler, Richard Fisher, Debra Storrs-Leist and Joseph Fisher. He was predeceased by sister, Judith Vandenboom; his brother-in-law, Denny survives. Steve had no children of his own but was a dear uncle to several nieces and nephews, many great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. He has many surviving cousins and an aunt.

He served his country proudly as a U.S. Marine from 1968-1974, being deployed to Okinawa during the Viet Nam war. Steve was an avid reader, enjoyed staying up to date on politics. He enjoyed movies especially those from the era before censorship, postings online offered his personal opinions on movies, politics and history topics. Being a talented artist, many enjoyed his landscape, portrait and abstract paintings.

Steve has been cremated and placed close to his parents at Restlawn Memorial Park in Perrysburg, OH. A celebration of life will be announced by family at a later date.

So sad, John and I treasured Steve's friendship over the decades. Loved visiting, chatting and time out of doors. Our Chessies will miss him! His lasting gift is the potting shed he and John built here in Maumee. I apologize for the tardiness of this note. He and John are together again. At peace.
