Mae Malone Obituary

MALONE Mae L. Mae L. Malone, 90, of Sylvania, died peacefully January 1, 2007, in her home. She was born in Toledo, Ohio to Antoinette and Bill O'Boyle. Mae was a loving wife to Bill, who preceded her in 1986. Her family and faith were the most important things in her life. She was a generous volunteer to her parishes in the Toledo area and in Florida, acting as a Eucharistic minister and active in the Homebound Ministry. In her earlier years she enjoyed bridge, bowling, choir and her children's activities. She is survived by sons, Bill (Anne) and Mike (Donna), and daughters, Kathy (Rick) Holland, Patty (Clair, "Buz") Gill, all of the Toledo area, and Toni (Ray) Ohlman of Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was the devoted grandmother to 14 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 4, 2007 from 3-9 p.m. at J. Jeffrey Fretti Funeral Home, 5045 Sylvania Avenue (At Corey Rd.) 419-843-1117, with a Scripture Service at 7:30 p.m. Prayers will be recited at 9:30 a.m. on Friday followed by Mass of Resurrection conducted at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Sylvania, Ohio, Friday, January 5, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E. River Road, Perrysburg, OH 43551, St. Ursula Academy, or St. Joseph's Catholic Church. The family would like to thank the compassionate and loving care she received from special granddaughter, Sara, and her other caregivers, Betty, Joanne and Fran. We would also like to thank Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their expert care and loving support.

Mae was indeed a very special & kind woman. We have fond memories of visits in Sylvania, Boca & Toledo. She raised a wonderful family who reflect her Christian values. She will be missed. Tim & Sue O'Reilly

To all the Malone's my hearfelt condolences. Its been a long time but times with "Mae and Bill" are clear in my memory. My mom, Jinny, who is now 94 yrs young asks to be remembered to all.
