BONK Marie A. Marie A. Bonk went to rest in the loving arms of her Heavenly Father on Monday, May 21, 2012. Born on April 20, 1941, to Frank and Margaret (Simon) Bonk. She is preceded in death by her parents and godson, Brett Begg. She is survived by her loyal and beloved friend and caregiver, Therese Martin; her sister, Marge Tomanicek; brother-in-law, Charlie Tomanicek; nephew, Stephen (Kristina) Tomanicek; niece, Sarah (Dave) Volk; great niece and nephew Ari and Antonio Stevens. Her dear and faithful friends, who were at her side in health and sickness, Judy Piotrowski, Carol Johnson, Pat Kinnee, Sue Dulinsky, Irv Zakrzewski and Vivian Martin. Special thanks to all the nurses in the ICU at Bay Park Community Hospital especially Cindie, Wendy, and Nicole for their watchful eye and tender compassion. For all of her doctors who did all they could and more to keep her here with us. In her final days she was tenderly cared for by the nurses at Regency Hospital. At Marie's request there will be no visitation. Fr. Tony Borgia will preside over a Funeral Mass with Fr. Bill Rose concelebrating at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 26, 2012, in St John the Baptist Catholic Church located at 5153 N. Summit Street in Point Place. All who knew and loved her are invited to attend. Burial will take place privately at a later date in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Bethany Home for Battered Women House c/o the Sisters of St. Francis or Christ the King School.
