Marlene Dumas, born on March 2, 1952, in Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2025, in McKinney, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Malcolm M. Dumas and Virginia Ann Dumas (Riel); her brothers, Martin Dumas (Liz) and Michael Dumas (Marlene); and the love of her life, Ray Wilson.
Marlene is survived by her three loving children, Ryan P. Rawski (Tricia), Melissa A. Seaman (Rich), and Jenna M. Rawski. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Austan Rawski-Musil (Tina), Hunter Topolski, MaryRose Cardell (James), Victoria R. Rawski, and Lauren M. Rawski; as well as her two beloved great-grandchildren, Ava Rawski-Musil and Bradley DeWitt.
She will be deeply missed by her siblings, MaryAnn Suto (Steve), Margie Heckman (Larry), Gerry Dumas (Peggy), Dr. Mark Dumas (Marianne), and Madonna Arellano (Robert). Additionally, Marlene leaves behind a large and loving extended family of cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, along with many wonderful friends who loved her dearly.
Marlene's warmth, humor, and love for life touched everyone who knew her. She will be fondly remembered and forever missed.
A service in Marlene's honor will be held on February 22, 2025, at St. Michael's Church, at 420 Sandusky St., Toledo, Ohio. Please join the family for a Mass in her honor at 11:00 a.m., followed by a luncheon in St. Michael's hall at the same address.
