Maximo Rios Obituary
Maximo "Max" Jr.
Maximo Rios Jr., 62, passed away September 16, 2014, at his home surrounded by his wife and loving family. Max was born to Maximo M. Sr. and Ofelia E. Rios on August 29, 1952. Max honorably served his country in the Army. He worked for Chrysler for 37 years before retiring in February 2008. He liked working on cars, hanging out with his friends, and going camping with his wife and dog, Santana. His way of exercising the dog was holding the leash while Santana ran alongside the golf cart with beer in one hand.
Max is survived by wife, Robin Ducat-Rios; son, Michael Rios; daughter, Michelle Rios-Kalivis; stepdaughter, Kelly Johnson; siblings, Adelita (Thacher Garcia Jr.) Raul Rios, Jose Rios, Delia (Frank) Stone, Maria Wright, Rusbaldo (Dawn) Rios, and Dora (Joe) McFarland; grandsons and granddaughters; in-laws, and many nieces and nephews. Max was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Mary Ann O'Rourke, and great-granddaughter, Serenity Kalivis.
Memorial donations can be given to Hospice of Northwest Ohio. A Celebration of Max's Life will be held at the Village Inn, 4984 N. Holland Sylvania Rd, on October 3 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Losing you Dad is a very tough thing to endure but knowing you are not in pain or suffering any longer is helping me cope a lil easier.I know I will see you again but until then I LOVE AND MISS YOU!!!!

Your impish smile will truly be missed. I enjoyed you as a customer, a Spanish teacher, and a friend. I send blessings and thoughts of comfort to your family. I only knew Max for a couple years when I tended bar but he was one of my favorites. I thought about him often since then and always wondered how he was doing. I'm sure there was a Budweiser on ice waiting for you at the gate, Max! Thoughts and prayers to Robin and his children so that they may find peace during this time.

You never know when we will leave this world! Sorry to hear this news. We lived across the street from Robin and Max for many years, there was always time to have a beer and talk whenever he was out in the yard. A great neighbor for sure always ready to lend a helping hand. We will keep you in our prayers.

I will always remember Max as the young man that taught me to shoot a gun and didn't mind when i crashed his mo-ped. He was such a "cool" brother-in law". God Bless the whole family. I know this summer has been rough and we been praying for all of you.
