Maxine Teague Obituary

TEAGUE

Maxine May 1926 - 2015

After visiting one last time with the people she loved the most, Maxine (Bradner) Teague went to her heavenly home for Christmas. He favorite thing to do was to gather her family together for weekly dinners, special occasions and especially Christmas Day. She will be greatly missed.

Maxine was born in Fostoria, Ohio to Virgil and Cecil (Workman) Bradner but raised in Toledo. She graduated from Woodward HS and married George C. Teague, who preceded her in death. During the war years, she worked at Tiedtke's, later for A&P, and finally in partnership with George, owning and operating Teagues's IGA. Her retirement years brought times for travel both in the U.S. and in Europe. Retirement also gave the opportunity to volunteer at Faith Lutheran Church, usher at the Stranahan and at local hospitals. Her calendar was always close by and lucky for family members we took top priority on her calendar. Maxine's independent spirit served as a blessing to those around her and as a role model to live life to the fullest.

Preceding her in death besides her husband were her three brothers, Charles, John and George Bradner. Surviving are her children, Dianna (Reed) Reamsnyder, George (Judi) Teague and William (Gina) Teague; grandchildren, Wendy, Christopher, Hallie, Brandon, Kyle, Jamie, Samantha and Vicki and 7 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her longtime faithful friend and companion, Herb Spann; niece, Charlene; close cousins and many extended family members and church friends.

Friends and family may visit at The Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Avenue on Friday, December 11 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in Faith Lutheran Church, 2440 South Ave., where the family will receive friends after 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park, Sylvania, OH. Those wishing to make a memorial in Maxine's name may make a contribution to Faith Lutheran Church.

To Maxine's entire family,
I just read about Maxine today. She was one of my favorite people at Faith Lutheran.
She was so blessed to have such a beautiful, loving and caring family. I know that she adored you all and it is wonderful to know that she will be reunited with George in heaven. She is watching over you now with him. She will be missed by multitudes that she left behind. I want to express my sympathy to your entire families and know that you are in my prayers.
