Michael Kwiatkowski Obituary
Michael John Kwiatkowski, 52, of Toledo died Friday, July 26, 2024. He was born June 10, 1972, in Toledo, Ohio, to Paulette and Melvin Kwiatkowski, Jr. of Maumee. He attended St. Patrick of Heatherdowns elementary school and graduated from St. John's Jesuit High School in 1990, where he was a founding member of the rowing team. He earned a bachelor's degree in business from Bowling Green State University. He began his career with the Ohio Civil Rights Commission as a college intern and went on to work at the agency for more than 20 years as an investigator.
A passionate runner and cyclist, Mike completed two Ironman Triathlons and many marathons. He also enjoyed the outdoors, golf, and dabbled in fly fishing. He was a dog lover who was adopted by a stray cat (Frankie) in recent years.
He is survived by his loving parents, Melvin and Paulette Kwiatkowski; his sister, Kristen Fritz (Brian); brother, Steven (Molly); nephews, Peter and Joseph Fritz; and niece, Laney Kwiatkowski.
Private funeral services were held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Maumee, and he is interred at St. Joseph Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a donation in Mike's honor to the Aurora Project (auroraprojectinc.org).

Mike was a great friend of my son, Jeff, throughout St. Patrick´s and St. John´s. I could not have asked for a better friend. He was just a good and loyal friend. They enjoyed the rowing team and regattas. The world lost one good person and we are all saddened by the loss.
