Nancy Nichols Obituary

NICHOLS Nancy J. Nancy J. Nichols, 81, of Maumee, OH, passed away Saturday, April 5, 2008, in St. Luke's Hospital. She was born August 25, 1926, to Leo and Mabel Sherman. Nancy graduated from Libbey High School and the University of Toledo with a degree in pharmacy. Nancy and her husband, John were the former owners of H.O. Nichols Company and B.R. Baker Clothing Stores. They were entrepreneurs and owned businesses and land all over the country. Nancy participated in the opening of the Toledo Hospital Pharmacy. She was a member of the Tri-Delta Sorority and Rainbow Girls. The widow of John D. Nichols, Nancy is survived by her beloved son, Mike Nichols of Perrysburg, OH; daughter, Sue (Ed) Davis of Perrysburg, OH; three grandchildren; nephews, Dr. Timothy (Barbara) Kime of Toledo and David Kime of Tucson, AZ; Godchild, Tammy Kime Sheets of St. Joseph's, MO and dear friends, Betty Erdmann of Toledo and Ora Lee Gates. In addition to her parents and husband, Nancy was preceded in death by her infant son, David Nichols and her sister, Shirley Sherman Stahley. Family and friends may visit Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, where funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Maumee.
