Nancy Presser Obituary
Nancy Ann Presser, 89, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Toledo on November 8, 1929 to Ernest and Dora (St John) Mominee. Nancy graduated from Central Catholic High School. She married George A. Presser, Jr. on his 21st birthday, May 27, 1950 and together they enjoyed 68+ wonderful years, for a total of 72 years "going steady".
Nancy loved her work at McAuley High School cafeteria, where she was affectionately known as "Candy Lady". Remarkably, she was a member of the same card club for over 65 years and was a valued volunteer at her church. She loved meeting people at the 2 annual garage sales she held at her home. She lit a candle every day as a reminder to pray for any loved one in need. Material things meant nothing to Nancy. She would gladly give you anything she had if you needed it. Her smile, her voice, her attitude joyfully affected everyone she met. She will never be forgotten by anyone who knew her.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband, George, her children, Karen Gerber (Dan), Debra Presser, George Presser III, and Penny Goodman (Brian); grandchildren, Jennifer Bauman, Elizabeth Baker (Jason), Michael Toth (Ericka), Andrew Toth (Erin), Cindy and Stephen Presser; 11 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Her brother John Mominee also survives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Kenneth, Ernest and Sheldon Mominee, Rita Tuten, and infant son, George E. Presser.
Friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd. on Friday, December 21 from 2-8 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 7 p.m. The funeral will begin at Coyle on Saturday, December 22 at 9:30 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Perpetual Help church at 10 a.m. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
Memorial donations in Nancy's memory may be given to Heartbeat of Toledo, 4041 W. Sylvania Ave. L004 Toledo, OH or the Diabetes Youth Services of Toledo, 2100 W.
