Pamela Lynn Hughes,76, of Perrysburg, passed away on May 23, 2024, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born on November 25, 1947, in Toledo, Ohio the daughter of Richard and Margaret (Links) Whitman. Pamela was a 1965 graduate of Waite High School and went on to obtain her Bachelor's in Education from the University of Toledo. Pam led a fulfilling life enriched by her passion for teaching, love of golf, and talent for painting.

As a dedicated kindergarten teacher at Toledo Public Schools, Pam touched the lives of many young minds, nurturing a love for learning that will endure as her legacy. Beyond the classroom, she found joy in exploring the world, from the ancient wonders of Egypt to the stunning landscapes of Alaska, and from the vibrant cultures of Europe to the serene waters of the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, and the Danube.

An enthusiastic camper and golfer, Pam embraced the beauty of the outdoors and the challenge of the fairways with equal fervor. Her artistic talent shone through her paintings.

Surviving is her husband, and love of her life, Lee Hughes; siblings, Thomas Whitman of Toledo, OH, Mary Jo (Rodney) Morris of Lawrenceville, GA and Richard Eric (Jill) Whitman of Johns Island, SC; aunt, Julia Robinson of Fullerton, CA; numerous nieces and nephews. She will be missed by her family, friends, and all those who knew her kind heart and gentle spirit. In accordance with Pam's wishes no services will take place. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice in Pam's memory.

My sister Pam was a beautiful person both inside and out. She was deeply loved by her family and her kind gentle soul will be terribly missed.
