Patricia Emahiser Obituary

Patricia Emahiser

November 20, 1945 - August 1, 2025

November 20, 1945, Wallace and Patricia Douse gave birth to their first child, a daughter, affectingly named after her mother, Patricia Ann.

"Patsy," as she was called, would welcome 2 more sisters and a brother, Christina, Beth and John.

Our mom talked fondly of memories involving climbing trees, running in the open fields, and helping their parents build the family home with her siblings.

She was a graduate of Perrysburg HS and Stauzenberger College. Our mom was a life-long learner and reader.

July 17th, 1965, she would marry Marvin Emahiser and have 2 sons, Dennis and Peter

Our mom was called many names, "Sister," "Daughter," "Mom," "Neighbor," and "Devoted Friend."

There was always a hot meal - and an extra seat or 5 if needed at our table. She taught us to love first, and the rest would figure Itself out.

She was an early adopter of reflexology, herbalism and therapeutic massage; she believed in healing and forgiveness.

Our mom was a faithful Jehovah's Witness for over 50 years, actively engaging in door-to-door service, transitioning to writing letters in her later years. She was an active student in the Theocratic Ministry School, giving regular talks at the Kingdom Hall.

Out of all of her interests/roles, none she took more pride in than "Mom."

I can never list all the names who came in and out of our home on Lakewood; most who have reached out have mentioned her kindness, love and attention- the kind associated with "Mom."

She was an avid photographer, known for always having a camera ready to capture the best moments of life.

Her albums will be at her memorial, Sunday, August 24th, 9204 Dorr, Holland, OH 43528, at 4:00 p.m. Please feel free to bring a dish to pass.

Patricia was preceded in death by husband, Marvin; and sister, Beth; parents, Wallace and Patricia Douse.

She is survived by sister, Christina (James) Harvey; brother, John; sons, Dennis and Peter (Susan).

We knew the family many years ago.

Rest in Peace Aunt Pat. My favorite memory is when you first got your license and drove that station wagon
35 miles an hr from East side to our Belpre house. On the expressway. We both laughed about that for years. You will be missed.
