Phyllis M. Wiseman, age 91, of Bedford Township and Toledo, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 3, 2017 at Vibrant Life Assisted Living with her family by her side. She was born on November 5, 1925 to Phillip W. Sr. and Goldie (Hawkins) Kinney in Toledo. Phyllis married Guy H. Wiseman Sr. in Toledo on May 4, 1946 and he preceded her in passing on February 18, 2008.
Most precious to Phyllis was her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Many memories were made with the grandchildren staying and playing with grandma in the pool. She was a wonderful host for holiday dinners, great baker and talented seamstress. Phyllis loved making crafts and going to local craft shows. She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Temperance. Phyllis will be dearly missed by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband; son, Guy “Chief” Wiseman Jr.; grandson, Guy H. Wiseman III; 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Gary (Carol) Wiseman, Beverly (Gary) Wingate and Susan (Andy) Nieman; grandchildren, Doug, Brian (Mary), Jill, Jeremy (Laura), Kristy (Matt), Mandy (Ryan),
Nathaniel (Alyssa), Abby (Carl) and Nicholes (Lisa); 17 great-grandchildren; and brother, Carl (Bobbi) Kinney.
The family will receive guests on Friday, April 7, 2017 from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to services. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Luke's Lutheran Church (Temperance, MI) or to Great Lakes Caring Hospice in Phyllis' memory.
