Quinn SEYMOUR Obituary

SEYMOUR Quinn Rosalie Quinn Rosalie Seymour, age 8 months, passed away Saturday, April 7, 2012, surrounded by her family at The University of Minnesota-Amplatz Children's Hospital in Minneapolis after an eight month battle with Junctional Epidermolysis Bullosa-Herlitz (JEB-H). Quinn and her family moved temporarily from Stow to Minnesota in October for her treatments. Quinn was born with a rare, painful genetic disorder. JEB-H is the most deadly form of EB and the only treatment option currently is a bone marrow transplant; which Quinn received on December 9, 2011. She has been a special inspiration to many and has touched many people that never had the honor of meeting her. Quinn is survived by her "Butterfly Army" including her loving parents, Marc and Mandy Seymour; her brother, Camden of Stow; her great-grandparents, Bill and Polly Bailey and Leta Stadler; grandparents, Dale and Phyllis Seymour, Christine Bailey, Don and Jodi McGee; aunts and uncles, Shelly Seymour, Brett and Nicole Seymour, Will and Ashley McGee, Jason and Annie McGee, Nici Heffelfinger, Laticia Heffelfinger and many loving cousins. Quinn has touched so many and will be forever loved and missed by her Holy Family Parish Family. Friends may call Friday from 4-8 p.m. at the Holy Family Church, 3179 Kent Rd. in Stow. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday with burial to follow at All Saints Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Quinn R. Seymour Benefit, c/o 5/3 Bank, account number 9522817197, where donations will be used to open a chapel in Quinn's honor at the hospital that cared for her. Quinn's funeral Mass deeply touched our souls with the love God has for her and for each one of you. It was one of the most beautiful testaments to a life well loved ever witnessed. We felt Quinn's butterfly wings embrace us and her spirit rested among us before her ascent to our Father's heavenly kingdom... where she prays for us

God looked around his Garden and found an empty place.
He then looked down upon his earth and saw your loving face.
He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest.
His Garden must be beautiful, he always takes the best.
As the days come and go and the world moves on,
I know you're still here, you'll never be gone.
On the night the Angel came and
took your hand,
We cried as you left for an unknown land.
But Heaven rejoiced as you came into
sight,
For your soul was a diamond, shining so bright!

What a blessing Quinn is, not only to all the lives she has touched in her brief time here on this earth, but for every family and child fighting against this horrendous disease. Her courageous battle will forever change the lives of so many families affected by EB! Thank you for sharing your little girl with the world. She is now in the presence of the Prince of Peace!

"But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep." 1 Thessalonians 4:13, 14 ESV

I will continue to pray for your family and stand with you in the fight against EB! ~God Bless!

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Quinn, I am not sure if you will ever know the depths in which you have touched my soul, but I pray that you do. I am so incredibly blessed to have been able to love you and to be touched by your amazing spirit...you were truly an angel here on earth and the world is certainly a better place because you were in it. You have taught us all lessons of strength, courage and faith. You have inspired many and you will continue to live on in those whose lives you have touched. I will continue to keep your sweet memory alive and I will never give up fighting for you. Sweet girl, I love you so dearly and you will forever be a very special part of me. Many hugs and kisses my sweet and precious angel, heaven is surely lucky to have you. Until we meet again.

Our words are not adequate enough to express the sorrow we feel for your loss. Quinn was an inspiration to everyone who was blessed with her beauty. Quinn's precious butterfly wings have now been transformed into angel's wings...

A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam
And for a brief moment its glory
and beauty belong to our world
But then it flies again
And though we wish it could have stayed...
We feel lucky to have seen it.
