Raymond Lissek Obituary
Raymond A.
Raymond A. Lissek, 88, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2014, at Kingston Care of Sylvania. Ray worked at Jeep as a supply clerk for 20 years, retiring in 1987 and before that was upholstery, for 20 years. A WWII Navy veteran, he belonged to the VFW 606 and the American Legion Post 15.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his stepdaughter, Sandra (Larry) Yager and daughter, Nancy (Darrell) Murphy; sister, Dolores Holly; grandchildren, Rhonda (Harry) Jackson, Robert Yager, Susanne (William) Hesidence and Debra (Jeff) Casey; great-grandchildren, Adam and Matthew Jackson, Kaitlyn and Tessa Casey and Savanna Hesidence Yager, and nieces and nephews. Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth; parents, Leon and Hedwig Lissek; 2 grandsons; 5 brothers and 5 sisters.
Visitation for Ray will be Thursday, February 27, 2014, from 10:00 a.m. till 12:00 p.m. at Gasiorowski-Hanneman Funeral Home & Crematory, 1757 Tremainsville Dr. (at Sylvania), 419-474-8761, where funeral services will start at 12:30 p.m. and continue with a funeral mass at Regina Coeli Church at 1:00 p.m. Interment services will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the caring staff at Kingston Care Center of Sylvania and Gentiva Hospice.
Memorial contributions in Ray's name are requested to be made to the American Cancer Society.

Uncle Jim was one of the kindest persons we willl ever know. His dry sense of humor ran in the family and never left him. My Dad always enjoyed his Thursday visits until the day he died. We are so sorry he is gone.
