Dearest Jeremy,Judy,& Family,

How saddened I was to hear about Marcel's passing. My fondest memory of him will always be when I walked into a graphic arts class at UB and there he was- my professor. He was an awesome instructor as well as a great all around guy. I'm so sorry for your loss. Love, Jing

Dear Judy/Jeremy & Family,

We are so grieved by Marcel's passing. He was a rightous man. His sense of humor and friendliness will stay with us forever. We are so sorry he only stayed with us for so short a time. We can only hope that there is indeed a next life and in that life we shall all meet him again.

Jeremy and the Lisseks,

I am truly sorry for the loss of your dad and husband. Marcel was like a second father to me. I still remember the time he tried showing me, you and Steve jump shots in your driveway wearing cowboy boots. His ford maverick and the way he drove it in snow always stuck out in my memory. He always told great stories. Marcel will be missed. My prayers go out to you and your family.

Dear Lisseks,

I don't know what to say except that I am truly sorry for this loss of a wonderful man. Marcel was a man of substance and great wit that brought warmth to all those around him. My memories of Marcel are filled with his great sense of humour, his sensitivity, and his capacity for sharing all that he had. My youth is filled with moments spent in the Lissek home, and the wonderfuly "leaning garage of Lissek" where Marcel and family embraced this goy as one of their own and made me feel as at home as I did with my own family. I will always remember the wonderful passovers and soccer matches and one-of-a-kind Toulouse Lautrec wallpaper. Judy, David, Daniel, and Jeremy I am truly sorry for your loss. The world was a better place because of Marcel and will continue to be better through the effect he had on family and friends he leaves behind.

Dear Jeremy and Family,

My Mom called and told me the news about your Dad's passing, and please know that you have my condolences. What a great guy! He not only was a great artist, had a great personality and sense of humor, but he was one heck of a soccer coach too. Remember the Dueces! Long may we all run! Also, Long Live the Channel 2 Godzilla/ Monster Movie marathons! Your Mom, Dad and brothers were great to me when I came over to visit or play, and I still cherish those memories. His love, compassion and, yes, French accent, will truly be missed. My family's thoughts and prayers are with you.

Love, Jeff and family

Dear David and the entire Lissek family,

I am so very sorry to hear about the passing of Marcel. I am shocked and saddened, last year seeing Marcel he looked great. I couldn't believe anything like this could happen so suddenly. After what happened to my mother, I know now you can't take life for granted. We will all remember all the funny things your dad did, his humor was a wonderful thing and his memories and his artwork will be with you forever. We will all miss that fabulous guy and his French accent. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your entire family through this difficult time.

Love always,

your friend...
