Raymond Mitchell Obituary
Raymond E. Mitchell, age 74, of Toledo, passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at St. Anne Mercy Hospital where he was surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 8, 1943 to Bernard A. and Esther J. (Weinburger) Mitchell in Perrysburg, OH. Ray retired from Ford Motor Co. - Maumee Plant and in his younger years he was a baker and manager for many Dunkin Donuts. For over 40 years Ray and his family enjoyed making memories at Big Sandy Campground.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Joyce (Holmes) Mitchell; children, Brenda and Angela Simon and Michael (Christina) Mitchell; Sherri (Jeff) Cousin and Dee (Mike) Walling; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and brothers, William and Robert Mitchell. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, RaeAnn Walling and three brothers.
The family will receive guests on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home - Northwest Chapel, Toledo, OH (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home on Tuesday at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
