Richard Bosak Obituary
December 20, 1937 - January 14, 2022
Richard Neil Bosak, age 84, of Sylvania, passed away January 14, 2022, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, Richard was born in Toledo on December 20, 1937, to John and Nellie (Klusek) Bosak. Richard was a graduate of Woodward High School and received his Bachelors degree from Bowling Green State University. He also served with the United States Air force. Richard retired as a captain after 32 years of service from the Toledo Fire and Rescue Department. On his days off he was a substitute teacher for Toledo Public Schools. He enjoyed traveling, and loved spending time with his family, and was a member of St. Adalbert Catholic church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Judith; brothers, Robert and Michael; and sister, Patricia. Richard is survived by his children, Richard (Amy) Bosak and Nellie (Gary) Gozdowski; grandchildren, Heather, Rebecca, Caitlin, Brittany, Matthew, Richard, Lindsey, Tamara, Angela, Samantha, Chelsea and Taylor. Also surviving are 10 great grandchildren.
The family will be receiving friends in the Urbanski Funeral Home a Life Celebration Home, 5055 Secor Rd, Toledo, on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. where the Last Alarm service will begin at 7:00 p.m. Additional visitation will be on Wednesday the 19th from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in St. Adalbert Catholic Church where the funeral mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. followed by entombment in Resurrection Cemetery. Any contributions can be given to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
