Richard IRVING Obituary

IRVING Richard "Dick" E. Richard "Dick" E. Irving, son of Edward and Nomeda (Quilian) Irving, died suddenly April 22, 2011, after a long battle with kidney disease. He was a hard worker having his own mason construction business operating under Dick Irving and Son's and later operating as Dick and Dave's Truckhoe for over 50 years. Surviving are his loving wife, Shirley (Luce) Irving of 49 years; sons, Richard and Melinda (Warren) Irving, Michael and Wanda (Vollmar) Irving, David Irving; daughter, Patricia Irving-Knitz; grandchildren, Connor and Kayla Irving, Nicholas, Calvin and Karla (Drier) Irving and her son, Dylan Miller; sister, Maryann and Herman Baerkircher; brothers, Louis and Rita (Gladieux) Irving, Thomas Irving and friend Sandy Kelly; many nieces and nephews. Dick loved his work and his family and was always happy when they all could get together. He will truly be missed. Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, on Tuesday from 2:00-9:00 pm. with a scripture service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Wednesday at 9:15am and proceed to St. Ignatius Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery. The family requests that in lieu of flowers a donation be made to the National Kidney Foundation or the National Cancer Society. www.eggleston-meinert.com
