Richard C. Kolhoff II

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Richard (Rick) C. Kolhoff II who passed away peacefully in his nursing home on October 2, 2022. He was a loving uncle and friend to many. His brother's children were important in the light of his life, source of love, pride and laughter.

Rick was a proud graduate of St. Catherine's grade school and Central Catholic High School, class of '68. Rick had the distinction of being the first male offered a scholarship to Mary Manse college in Toledo. He earned an associates degree from Edison State college. He then worked at various jobs. Rick enjoyed model railroading, space/universe science, aviation, auto racing and photography. He loved keeping up on sports, mainly CCHS, UT, ND and NFL.

Rick is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Eileen. He is survived by his brothers, Bill, Tim (and Debbie), Dan (and Judy); multiple nieces and nephews; and many cousins.

Friends will be received at Blanchard-Strabler Funeral Home (3219 Tremainsville at Alexis, 419-269-1111) on Monday from 11 a.m.-12 p.m., followed by a brief religious service. Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery where he will rest with his parents..
