Richard McPherson Obituary

MC PHERSON Richard Loving husband, father, and grandfather, Richard McPherson went with Jesus on Saturday, September 3, 2011. He passed due to complications from diabetes, heart and kidney diseases. He was born to Raymond and Betty (Frahm) McPherson December 26, 1949 in Detroit, MI, and made his home in Ida, MI for the last 23 years. In his younger years he enjoyed many activities; football, baseball, fishing, woodworking, gardening, vintage autos, golf and bowling. He waited impatiently every fall for the University of Michigan and Lions football seasons. He was a loving, patient and kind grandfather who cherished his grandchildren and spent a lot of time with them. In 1999 due to health issues, he retired from Chrysler, where he worked as a BIW Engineer. Catholic all of his life, he attended St. Anthony's in Bedford. Left only to our hearts and memory are his wife of 31 years, Vickie; his 5 children, Kellie and (Dustin) Gregg, Kristina and (Artuz) Baldovino, Jason and (Andrea) McPherson, Brent and (Janine) McPherson and Mandy McPherson; and his 4 grandchildren, Kayla, Alycia, Madison and Drake; only sibling Jackie and Bill Fults; Bobby Gregg, his loyal friend and numerous friends and techs from Fresenius Dialysis Center. The family will receive visitors at Bedford Funeral Chapel, 8300 Lewis Avenue, Temperance, MI Thursday, September 8, from 4 until 8 PM. Cremation will follow. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice. Online condolences may be shared at: www.bedfordfuneralchapel.com
