Rita Peters Obituary
Rita Peters, 94 years, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 14, 2023, at Kingston of Perrysburg. She graduated from Central Catholic High School.
Surviving are her children, Kathy (Bill) Schmalzried, Fred (Chris), and Tom (Jennifer); grandchildren, Heather (Greg) Ludwig, Drew Schmalzried, Megan Peters, Mia (Tim) Scott, Zachary and Jacob Peters; great-grandchildren, Libby, Paige, Kate Ludwig, Lincoln and Lola Scott.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George; daughters, Cindy and Linda; and parents, Louise and Albert Lucarelli.
We would like to thank the staff at Kingston of Perrysburg for her wonderful care over the last 2 years. Especially Scott, Tara, Tabby and Vanessa and the hospice care nurses.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 18 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church, 4201 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo. Burial will follow at Toledo Memorial Park. A luncheon will be held at Maumee River Yacht Club, 2735 Broadway St., Toledo beginning at 1:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.

Brings back memories of many years with Rita and George and our joint interest in both sailing and boating at Maumee River Yacht Club going back to 1955. George has been missed as will Rita.
