Robert Bartlett Obituary

Robert G. Bartlett

9/13/1935 - 03/15/2025

Robert G. Bartlett, age 89, of Maumee, Ohio, passed away peacefully on March 15th, 2025. A beloved father, friend, grandpa, and great-grandpa, Robert was known for his warmth, generosity, and sense of humor.

Robert leaves behind his son, Robert Bartlett II (Jeanette); daughter, Kathy Leonardo (Pat); grandchildren, Melissa Grubb (Kacey), Brandon Bartlett (Danielle), Lindsey Bartlett, Abby Bender, Casey Clark (Teddy); along with 7 great-grandchildren.

Robert worked at the Toledo Blade until retirement. One of Robert's greatest joys was spending time outdoors, especially going on fishing trips with his dear friends, the leech lake buffoons (where the buffoonery never ended). Robert was also a regular at the Elks Lodge in Maumee. He enjoyed going to his great-grandsons' (Ethan and Rowan) baseball games.

The family would like to thank the staff at Waterford Assisted Living. Robert was proceeded in death by his parents, Earl and Francis; his brother, Wilson; and his spouse, Rita Bartlett.

In accordance with Robert's wishes, there will not be a formal service. The family asks that you remember Robert in your own way, whether through sharing a fond memory, offering a kind gesture, or simply keeping Robert in your thoughts.
