Breakfast at Classic was my favorite way to start the day because Bob (and Roger) were always ready to greet you!! Mary and Kathy were ready to serve. My heart sank when I learned of Bob's passing. His restaurant and he touched so many lives. I'm sorry for your loss. You're in my prayers!

Our mother, Helen Allen and daughter, Joyce wish to send our love to one of the most compassionate man we know! He always made our visit with our family to Classics the best. I can remember when my aunt, mother, and I would get those super hamburgs and desert he would always pack an extra meal for mom. Mom, at the age of 94 rode her grandsons motorcycle to Classics and Bob couldn't believe it! We send our love to his family and know that we will always stop into his friendly cafe! God Bless! My wife and I would like to express our deepest sympathies to Bob and his Family. He was truly a gentilemen and always extended his love toward all who came into his present. Master Chief Musielewicz and I , Chief Swan would have lunch at the classic cafe and enjoyed every minute , for the employees were always on top of their game. He is greatly missed, as Apostole Paul stated, absent from the Body Present with the LORD. Bob is with the Father in Heaven. Thank you Robert W. Swan Sr USNR-R.

Our deepest sympathies to the entire Drees family. Classic Cafe quickly became one of our favorite resturants...much of it due to the spirt, friendliness and kindness shared by Bob.. Our deepest sympathies to Bob's family and associates. He had a special quality of making his customers at the cafe feel like much more than customers. He always referred to us as "The Professors" and made us feel at home.

I bet that if you lined up all the people who could say "Bob was a great boss", you'd be looking at a cast of thousands. I'm just one of them - Bob was my boss at Farrell's - and he was a great and kind boss, and I'll never forget him.

My husband and I have been patrons of Classic Café for several years. The warm, loving setting and Bob's kindhearted smile and laughter, helped us to relax at the end of the day as though we were in our own home. I truly believe the Lord called Bob to run the Classic Café as a ministry to others. May Olivia, Jacob, Mary, and the entire Drees Family take comfort in knowing that Bob listened for the call of God in his life and, when he heard it for the last time, said “Here am I,
Lord: I come to do your will”.

I met Bob back in the mid to late 70's when he first came to work for Farrell's. He had a quick wit, a good sense of humor and always had a smile on his face as he ran around the restaurant "bussing" tables. We were all like family back then. We will miss you Bob.

Bob was my boss at Farrell's Ice Cream Parlor back in the '80's. The memories of him and the staff are some of the best times in my life. Later, I became a regular at his restaurant, bringing my kids along with me. We were all very fond of Bob, and his joking ways. He would give me a "senior discount", and I'm only 47! I will truly miss Bob. Rest in peace, my friend.
