Robert Forney Obituary
Robert Burns Forney, Jr., Ph.D., age 77, of Toledo, died peacefully at home on December 4, 2022, with his loving family by his side.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Debra B. (Brandt) Forney; children, Ashley (Nathanael) Filippelli, Robert (Erica) Forney III, W. Scott Forney, Jonathan Forney, and Daniel (Megan Orzechowski) Forney; grandchildren, Jonathan, Clara, and Ezra Filippelli, Brooke, Kimber, and James Forney; and sister, Judith Forney. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his daughter-in-law, Megan Orzechowski.
Family and friends are invited to visit Sunday, December 11, 2022, from 3-7 p.m., at Christ the Word Church, 3100 Murd Road, Sylvania, where a sharing of memories will take place at 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Monday, December 12, 2022, at 1 p.m. at the church. Graveside services will take place Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at 11:30 a.m. in Crown Hill Cemetery, Indianapolis.

What a great teacher and wonderful man Dr. Forney was. I remember him well from my days as a student
at MCO when I spent a fair amount of time hanging around the wonderful Pathology Department. May our Lord comfort all of his loved ones.

I don´t think any of us know where to start to say how devastated we are for the loss of a great man. Dr. Forney was truly a pillar of the community . A friend to many always willing to help and share Positive opinions wonderful advice. Sincere condolences to the family, friend and community . Our area would never accomplished all we have without the presence of Dr. Forney. Rest in peace, my friend.

I was saddened so much by Bob's passing. All my thoughts and prayers are with the family. God used this man to change my life for the better. Couldn't help thinking when I heard he'd passed on Sunday, he really had a good day and was inspired to write this in Bob's memory.
Today he had a good day, he woke up in Heaven,
the old had passed away, new kind of life was given.
Looked, he saw Him smiling, the Savior he adored,
then walked down the streets of Heaven, they walked, arm in arm.
How very much we'll miss him, our brother, teacher, friend,
yet soon enough we'll join them, go walking hand in hand,
down those same streets of Heaven, where we'll forever be,
together with the Savior, for all eternity.

Am very sad to hear , of Bob's passing, but happy for his home going. He and always will be a special person to so many, and will be greatly missed. Until we all meet again. For his wife and children, I know you will miss him most, and pray for God's grace and love to fill your hearts.
