Robert Hoeffel Obituary

HOEFFEL Robert J. Robert J. Hoeffel, age 74, of Gibson Ave, died Friday, October 13, 2006, at his residence. Born November 9, 1931, in Toledo, Ohio, a son of the late Richard J. and Bertha T. DuBry Hoeffel. He was a member of the National Committee for the Boy Scouts of America. He worked with the Boy Scouts for over 25 years. He was actively involved with the International Exchange Student Program. Mr. Hoeffel was a 3rd and 4th Degree Knights of Columbus and was a volunteer with AARP. Surviving are his wife, Margaret "Peg" Hoeffel; two sons, Donald Hoeffel and wife, Lisa of Myrtle Beach and Karl Hoeffel and wife Michelle of Chicago, Il.; one daughter, Julie Hoeffel Lock and husband, Amos of Manassas, VA; one brother, Richard A. Hoeffel and wife Loretta of Toledo, Ohio; grandchildren, Brandon, Jacob, and Zachary Lock, Danielle Hoeffel, Nicholas Lindsey and Zachary Lindsey. Funeral Mass will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. Michael Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, directed by Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with a prayer vigil to be held at 6:00 p.m. Sign a guestbook at www.goldfinchfuneralhome.com Memorials may be made to St. Michael Catholic Elementary School, 542 Cypress Ave., Garden City Beach, SC 29576 or American Diabetes Association, PO Box 1131, Fairfax, VA 22038-1131 or the Boy Scouts of America, PO Box 268, Florence, SC 29503.
