Robert J. Kranz

Robert J. Kranz, age 79, of Aurora, IL passed away Thursday, September 23, 2021, at his home in Aurora. He was born on April 18, 1942, in Toledo, OH. Robert attended St. Francis High School in Toledo, and later the University of Toledo, Metropolitan University (Bachelors degree), Indiana Wesleyan University (Masters degree), and served in the Army Reserve. Robert, retired as Senior Vice President of Operations of Knauf Insulation in Shelbyville, IN, and had worked at Manville Corp., Owens Corning, and Haughton Elevator. He was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Aurora, IL.

Robert is survived by his wife, Rhanda K. (Young) Kranz; children, Gregory Randolph Kranz (Susan), and Elizabeth A. Bowlen (Roger); grandchildren, Robert Harrison Kranz (Francesca), Madison Taylor Kranz, John Lucas "Luke" Kranz and Magen Young Kranz. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Celeste Kranz and a sister, Sharon A. Lynch.

Services and interment private. Arrangements are being made by the Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Homes & Crematory, 516 S. Washington St. Naperville. Memorials in his memory may be made to Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, Aurora, IL. (630) 355-0264. www.beidelmankunschfh.com.
