Robert Wright
Robert W. "Bob" Neeley passed away peacefully at home Thursday, August 6, 2015, surrounded by his children and with his dogs lying by his side. Bob was born December 1, 1936, to Dr. Samuel and Martha (Rilling) Neeley. Bob graduated from Waite High School in 1954. He married Barbara (Matevia) who preceded him in death in 2008.
Bob worked as a mechanic his entire life. He owned "This and That" and Neeley Auto Body shops. He also worked in the paint shop at Jeep, retiring in 1991.
Bob had polio as a child. Surviving polio fostered in Bob a lifelong fighting spirit and a determination to persevere over any obstacles.
Bob had a very generous spirit. For several years, he would host Christmas parties for the Toledo police so that they would have a place to come and celebrate Christmas. Bob volunteered for RSVP through the East Toledo Family Center. Bob never met a stranger and always had a joke or a story to tell.
Bob is survived by his children, Leanna (Jim) Neshkoff, Gini (Jeff) Feller, Robert (Karla) Neeley, and Patti Neeley. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 10 at St. John's UCC, 1213 Washington Street, Genoa, Ohio. Visitation will start at 10 a.m., services at 11 a.m., with lunch following service in the fellowship hall.
In keeping with his generous nature, Bob arranged to donate his body to UTMC. Memorial contributions may be made to the East Toledo Family Center or Heartland Hospice.
Bob's family would like to thank Heartland Hospice, especially Nicole, for helping with his care.

So very sorry for your loss. Bob was my boss at Jeep for a short time but he made it better with his smile and his caring nature. Always with a smile and always there to help, if he could. He will be missed.

I worked as Bob's group leader in Paint for several years. He was a kind and thoughtful man. He was always willing to help any of his people in "Bob's Mob". I saw many acts of him going the extra mile to help employees-I was one that he helped. He was one of a kind. He will always be remembered fondly. RIP Bob
