Robert E.



Robert E. Sweet, age 72, ended his long and courageous fight with cancer on September 11, 2013. He

accepted the end peacefully, and at the end stated "you know, I'm not afraid, I'm ready." His loving and treasured wife at his side along with his son, Kevin, he also treasured his daughter,

Colleen, daughter-in-law, Sheila and granddaughter Jackie. Bob loved to fish and was a master wood worker, crafting many beautiful doll houses, wood crafts and scroll saw pieces, many of which he would just give away.

Bob graduated from Macomber Vocational High School in 1959 and worked at Toledo Cart Craft, Superior Typesetting and then The Toledo Blade in 1967 with retirement in 2002. He was a member of I.T.U. Local 63 of which he was Recording Secretary and Secretary / Treasurer of the International Typographical Conference. Bob was a member of Northwood Church of God.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Erford and

Dorothy Sweet and Stepfather, Irvin "Boots" Buchele. He is survived by his wife, Sharon; daughter, Colleen; son, Kevin (Sheila); brothers, Don (Kathy), Ron (Carol) Sweet; sister, Kathy; granddaughters, Jackie (his little Princess), Nichole (Don) O'Rourke, Cheryl Grant; step great-grandsons, Grant and Hunter; many nieces and nephews; last but not least Bob and Sharon's very special friend and neighbor, Brenda Mitchell.

Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, on Sunday, September 15, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will take place in the funeral home on Monday at 1:00 p.m. and where the family will greet friends beginning at 11:00 a.m. Pastor David Grogg will be officiating. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park. The family would like to thank Hospice of Northwest Ohio (Perrysburg). Those wishing an expression of sympathy in Bob's name are asked to consider Hospice of Northwest Ohio (Perrysburg) or Northwood Church of God.

Sharon and Family,
Bob was a member of our society and will leave a legacy with us in the scaled replica of the Peter Navarre cabin that he crafted and donated to us. We will think of Bob when admiring his work that we have on display.
