Ruth H.
Ruth H. Toland, 78, of Toledo, passed away February 7, 2014, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. She was born on January 3, 1936, to Ed and Marie Beck in Maumee, OH. She also lived in Howell, MI and Cleveland, OH before moving to the Toledo area.
Ruth worked at Van Waters and Rogers, also at Visiting Nurses.
She is survived by her
sister, Pauline Tinglino;
daughters, Julie Toland and Cynthia Blair; grandchildren, Katherine Schermbeck, Bryan Toland and wife, Kaycee, Derek Toland and Grant Williams. Also surviving are two great-grandsons and many nieces and nephews.
Ruth gave from her heart to her family, friends, her church and the community. She loved gardening and traveling. We will never forget you.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 15th at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 1825 Glendale Avenue, Toledo, at 11:00 a.m.
Memorial contributions can be made to Walcott House or Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.

"Ruthie" was one of our very first baby sitters...and we all loved her like a big sister. She & Paulene were our role models for growing up! Along with her parents, Eddie & Marie Beck, they were part of our extended family on East Harrison in Maumee. My deepest sympathies go out to her family.

My sincere sympathies to Pauline and Ruthie's family. I just saw her at my brother Jerry's funeral in November. She was so kind to me then. I have wonderful memories of the Beck family. They were always very special to our family. So very sorry for your loss.
