Salome Torres Obituary
Salome Torres, age 91, of Toledo passed away Tuesday September 25, 2018. He was born October 31, 1926 to Cesario Torres and Ellisa Villches in Kingsville, TX. Salome had many jobs during his lifetime, his most recent was for the Toledo Overseas Terminal. Salome enjoyed fishing, watching baseball and spending time at the former Toledo Raceway Park. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Edwarda "LaLa" Torres; daughters, Yolanda "Gloria" Shanteau and Jessica; son, Oscar I; one brother; and two sisters.
He is survived by his children, Ema (Ramon Reyes Jr.) Casares, Lavin Torres, Oscar II (Julie) Torres, Mario (Terry Stevens) Torres, Fernando (Alice) Torres, Marcus (Vicki) Torres, other significant children, Lisa (Edward) Mitchell, Johnny Blue, Cindie (Dave) Torres, and Rachel Doyle. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. "Now you can rest grandpa, you'll always be loved and missed."
The family will be receiving friends in the Urbanski Funeral Home, 2907 Lagrange St. on Thursday, October 4, 2018 from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. where memorial services will begin at 2 p.m. Graveside Services will be Friday 11 a.m. in Calvary Cemetery.

My deep condolences an prayers to the Torres family Salome was like a dad to me he treated me like his daughter in law an he loved his grandson angelo an my kids he called them his grandkids to salome had a big heart for everyone an always helped out anyone he was a very independent man who always like doing things by his self it was his way or no way ill never forget when he told my kids to call him grandpa an lala grandma they were both beautiful an loving people who I loved alot were all going to miss you both Salome an Lala may you R.I.P ❤
