Goodbye Dad...I wish you would not have left me this soon. We still had so much to learn from one another. So much more to say, so much more to share, so much more to laugh and cry about together...and we did...but there was supposed to be more. I always thought there would be more. I thought I still had more time to tell you that I Love You, more time to give you a hug, more time to give you a kiss, more time to just talk about stuff, more time to have you drag me across the dance floor...literally!! I know you have a final lesson for me here. I know this will all teach me something. I just can't figure it out right now. I wish you could help me. Tell me just how it is and what it is like you always did even if I didn't always like it. Ironicly, I already really miss that. You could be hard on me, and me on you, but I always knew you loved me and me you. We are so much alike in many ways. You have a big heart Dad, so big you just couldn't fill it up. So big it was many times broken. No more pain Dad, no more for you. You are now... I'm sure of it surrounded by the love you were always searching for. The overflowing love that fills that great big heart of yours up. I know you are in a better place where your body is all healed and you can do whatever you want again. I have to take comfort in that! I bet you're catching a lot of fish in that Great Lake in the sky and painting beautiful pictures with colors I can't even imagine! You'll have to show me someday....Until then please watch over me Dad...help me thru these life lessons I just don't understand. Oh and Dad...You were a good Dad. Always there for me teaching me something even if we didn't know it. I know now & so do you. Thank you Dad. I'm gonna Miss you!!!! With all the Love in my great big heart....Dawnie
