Salvador Ruiz Obituary
Salvador G. Jr.
Salvador G. Ruiz Jr., 80, of Oregon, OH passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2015, in the comfort of his home. He was born on July 28, 1935, in Austin, TX to Salvador and Josephina (Gallardo) Ruiz Sr. Salvador worked at Medusa Cement for 18 years until he retired in 1979 and started working at Davis College. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, puzzles, working on cars and watching Cleveland Indians Baseball. Salvador was the type of man that always put others first, but none were more important than his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Alma; children, Salvador (Linda) Ruiz III, Joseph Ruiz, Cecilia Ruiz, Barbara (James) Kane, Sophia (Francisco) Ramos, Carmen (Jessica) Ruiz, Kym (Albert) Stoner; 28 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and siblings, Abelino, Santos, Timio, George, Mary and Angelina. Salvador was preceded in death by his parents; 1 grandson; siblings, Cruz, Raymond, Thomas, Frank, Locadio, Manuel and Rosa.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd., Oregon, on Thursday, September 10, 2015, from 2 to 8 p.m. where the rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Salvador's family.
