Samuel “Sam” 12/18/1937 - 1/28/2017
Sam Evola, 79, of Amhertsburg, Ontario passed peacefully on Saturday, January 28, 2017. He was born in
Cinisi, Sicily on December 18, 1937 the son of Giovanni and Rosalia (Cucuru) Evola. Sam married the former Christine Badalamenti, and supported his family as the owner of S.E. Drywall. His passing was preceded by his
parents. Survirors include wife, Chris; sons, John
(Eileen) of Sylvania, Manny (Melissa) of Temperance, Sam (Stacy) of Ida, and Rick (Peggy) of Hillsdale;
siblings, Joe (Beatrice), Ben (Sheila), Russ (Mandy), Jack (Jane), Josie (Dino) Muzzati, and Sandra (Jim) Pittam; brother-in-law, Ben Bullock; grandchildren, Samuel, Christopher, Matthew, Derek (Kim), Alicia, Hunter, Maria, Josh, Samantha, and Ashley (John). Visitation 2-8 p.m., Friday, Feb. 3, 2017 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe (734) 384-5185. He will lie in state from 10 a.m. until the Mass of the Resurrection at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, at St. Mary Parish, 127 North Monroe. Burial following at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Online at
